She has a degree in Civil Engineering, Canal and Port Engineering from the University of Cantabria.

In July 2019 she was appointed as President of the Portos de Galicia Public Business Entity. Additionally, she is a member of the boards of Vigo, A Coruña and Vilagarcía.
